PR Yu is a Silicon Valley-based venture capitalist and entrepreneur. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Yu Galaxy, and former Co-Founder and Managing Partner of SV Tech Ventures. His funds have invested in over 100 startups, many of which have IPO’ed or been acquired. A serial entrepreneur, Yu built and led two companies to profitability and has served on more than 20 corporate boards across sectors including AI, energy, healthcare, robotics, fintech, biotech, and telecom. He has chaired the first Solar Decathlon held in Asia, a zero-energy building competition featuring 21 teams from 11 countries, including the U.S., England, Singapore, China, Israel, Sweden, and Australia. Yu, with a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.S. from Peking University, has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers and patents, earning more than 6,000 citations.

Vahid currently runs Inquis Medical, Inc., a medical device company in Redwood City, California. Previously, Vahid runs Arrinex, Inc., a company developing a one-time office-based therapy for chronic rhinitis. Arrinex was recently acquired by Stryker, Inc. Prior to Arrinex, Vahid served as the CEO of Voyage Medical, funded by Kleiner perkins, Three Arch , RWI and Abbott Ventures.
